To celebrate Female Football Week, we are proud to share a short video montage highlighting some of the amazing female players, coaches and committee members across our club.
The video celebrates the passion, dedication and contribution of the women and girls who help make our football community so strong both on and off the pitch.
We hope you enjoy watching and join us in recognising and celebrating female football at our club.
We’re pleased to share that the club has introduced an updated Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all children and young people at Yarra Jets FC.
These documents outline clear expectations, standards of behaviour, and processes to ensure child safety remains at the centre of everything we do.
We’re also proud to formally appoint Jo Fitch as our Child Safety Officer. Jo brings extensive professional experience in child safety through her work with the Department of Education, along with a strong connection to our club community.
Jo has already been working behind the scenes to develop and strengthen our child safety framework, and we’re incredibly grateful for her time, care, and expertise in this space.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out via yjfc.info@gmail.com, where Jo will review and respond.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support a safe and positive environment at our club.
As we gear up for the start of the season, Yarra Jets FC is looking for referees to support our Round 1 fixtures on Saturday 26 April.

We are seeking referees across a range of age groups and experience levels. Whether you’re an experienced referee, a current player, or someone keen to give it a go, we’d love to hear from you.
Why referee?

Your support is essential to ensuring matches can go ahead smoothly!
As we head into the 2026 season, all Team Managers are strongly encouraged to attend our upcoming information session.
This year, we are transitioning to a new competition management system, Dribl, replacing GameDay (GD). This change will impact team sheets, match day processes, and overall team administration, so it’s important that all Team Managers are familiar with the new system.
The session will cover key responsibilities, how to use Dribl, and what’s expected on game days to ensure a smooth and compliant season for all teams.
Whether you’re new to the role or returning, this session is highly valuable and will help set you up for the season ahead.

Fairfield Park car parking update
Yarra Jets Football Club advises parking around Fairfield Park and the wider Yarra Bend Park precinct is extremely limited.
The precinct is particularly busy on weekends, with high use by recreational walkers and cyclists accessing the Main Yarra and Merri Creek trails, as well as visitors to Fairfield Boathouse and the Fairlea Netball Precinct. We urge everyone to allow extra time to find a car park and please adhere to signage. Two dedicated bays adjacent the clubrooms are reserved for FV referees.
Visitors are encouraged to refer to the club’s parking map, which outlines nearby car parks and on‑street parking options. Please consider active travel and public transport options including bus route 546. Dennis on the Hurstbridge Line is the nearest train station - a 15-minute walk away.
YJFC continues to advocate with Yarra City Council and State Government representatives for improved traffic management solutions. In recent years, 60 parking bays were lost to the now permanent bike lanes on Heidelberg Road, and temporary community access to the Melbourne Polytechnic car park ceased in September 2025. YJFC is actively working toward interim solutions for the 2026 season and a long‑term outcome. Please bear with us.

Yarra Jets FC’s Senior Men have progressed to Round 4 of the Dockerty Cup, marking the furthest the club has ever advanced in the competition.
The boys delivered a fantastic performance in Round 3, securing a well-earned win and booking their place in the next round of Victoria’s premier knockout competition.
The Dockerty Cup is one of the most prestigious tournaments in Victorian football, featuring clubs from across the state competing for a pathway into the national Australia Cup.
For Yarra Jets FC, reaching Round 4 represents a historic milestone and a huge achievement for the players, coaching staff, and the wider club community.
There were massive scenes at full time as the squad celebrated a result that continues an exciting cup run for the club.
Congratulations to the team — we look forward to seeing what Round 4 brings.

Yarra Jets FC proudly entered multiple teams in the Female Go Sevens competition during Term 4, held at the fantastic HOTM facilities. The club fielded two teams in U10G, and one team each in U12G, U14G and U16G.
The two U10G “Pink Jets” teams, coached by Gabby Garner and Richard Watson, had a standout season, finishing first and second on the ladder after a thrilling final match against each other. All players were rewarded with medals, followed by a memorable team water fight.
In the U14G competition, the Jets finished top of the ladder with six wins and two draws. The season culminated in a must-win final against the Redbacks, where the team came from behind to secure a 2–1 victory in a highly competitive and enjoyable competition.

Kicking off on Friday, 10 October on the Nike pitch 2 at The Home of The Matildas in Bundoora, is the free Nike Rock Up & Play sessions for women and girls from U12, all the way through to over 17.

Their emphatic 4-0 semi final win over Sunbury United - a team that was undefeated in 2025 and had only conceded 8 goals all season - has pitted them against Mornington Peninsula FC following its tight 3-2 semi final win.
Mornington Peninsula is also undefeated in 2025 and had a +62 goal difference at the end of its season.
Our players have shown great determination and resilience throughout 2025. They’ve repeatedly performed under pressure in the big moments, and wholly deserve the opportunity to bring home the trophy.
To celebrate their achievements and commitment, and the support of their families - international holidays and domestic travel plans have been adjusted to ensure player availability - we’d love to see a strong show of Yarra Jets support on the sidelines to cheer on the team.
The match is this Sunday, pitch 4 at the Home of the Matildas, Bundoora. Kick off is 9am.
Go Jets!
